Scholastics Art and Writing Awards...GOLD KEY, SILVER KEY and and HONORABLE MENTION!

The 2019 Scholastic Art Regional Winners

Senior Kerrine Esitme and Sophomore Nehemi Perpilus were recently awarded the prestigious Scholastic Art Regional Gold and Silver Key Artists Award, respectively.  Senior Antonio Ruiz (AKA Tony Boi) received an Honorable Mention.

The three Lake Worth High School art students in Ms. Gironda's art classes, competed in the international submission of individual art work. They were selected for their work (see photo album below) in the Regional round of judging.
All works receiving Gold Keys will move on to national judging in New York City, and will be considered for national honors.

Congratulations to these outstudent student-artists and their National Board Certified Art teacher, Ms. Gironda. Another example of Trojan PRIDE in action.
Best wishes as the students' art work moves to the national judging.

Ms. Gironda also presented two of her students' dresses made from recyclable materials at the Art Hive Magazine booth at Art Palm Beach earlier this month. On the VIP opening night she had models wear two of the looks. This is an international art show with works selling for hundreds of thousands of dollars!
Ms. Gironda is pictured wearing a sash to the opening that is made from scraps of the students looks, plus a few pieces of her own.
