The Trojan Times Online school newspaper banner for the April 2020 update issue.

Following the closing of all Public Schools on March 16, 2020, Dr. Epps (principal) and his Administrative staff, office assistants, data processor, school police and other volunteers, distributed Chromebooks to the students of Lake Worth Community High School during a two week period.

Mr. Rick Harlowe, the Trojan Times newspaper teacher advisor, took the pictures showing the parents, students and staff distributing and receiving the Chromebook laptops.

The Chromebook laptops are the student's educational lifeline as instruction moved from a physical classroom to a digital classroom.

Lake Worth High School Trojan Times Winter Edition 2019 Volume 2 Number 1

Dr. Elvis Epps, Principal, Lake Worth Community High SchoolSeason greetings Trojan Family. This is the time of the year when millions are in the holiday spirit. I love this time of the year because it tends to bring people together like no other time throughout the year.

I would like for you to join me in reflecting on 2019 just to capture the moments that made us who we are. We made it through another year and I wish you the very best as we prepare to enter another decade.

Take time to unwind, relax, and enjoy this break. Treat yourself to a nice gift. I love the candy bar commercial tagline that reminds people to be themselves. It's the Snickers commercial that says, "You are not you when you are hungry." I want you to be you this holiday season.

Visit places that you have never visited. Read a good book, or just visit someone you haven't seen in a while.

My wish for you this holiday break is to enjoy who you are and all that you have accomplished this year. I look forward to seeing our teachers and staff  back on campus on January 6, and our students on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.

I often say, "To give your best you have to be your best." Thank you  parents for giving your best to your children. Thank you teachers and staff for giving your best to our students and your colleagues,  Enjoy the holiday season and be sure to read the other Trojan Times articles listed to the left, on the sidebar.

Elvis Epps, Ed. D.
